            Bug ID: 304238
          Severity: normal
           Version: 4.9
          Priority: NOR
          Assignee: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
Summary: KDE's mysqld consumes 3.8% of my 8GB RAM.
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux
          Reporter: shlomif at shlomifish.org
          Hardware: Mageia RPMs
            Status: NEW
         Component: server
           Product: Akonadi

KDE's mysqld consumes a lot of RAM, even in a brand-new UNIX user account.
Whereas the system mysqld (running as user "mysql") consumes 0.8% of my 8GB
RAM, the KDE mysqld in a brand new user consumes 3.8%. I'm on Mageia Linux
3/cauldron.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new UNIX user.
2. Start KDE.
3. Run htop or top and sort based on MEM%.
Actual Results:
mysqld consume 3.8% of RAM.

Expected Results:
mysql should consume much less.

I'm on x86-64 Linux on a Core i3 machine.
