[Bug 297658] kmail mail editor window hangs when sending a mail

I tried to open Kmail and Kontact in the Razor-qt desktop environment. I got
the same problems. Looking into the matter, I spotted these:

There are a series of akonadi agents. I closed Kmail (and it crashed). Then I
issued a "pkill akonadi" (I felt confident doing this since I wasn't using
KDE). Then, I restarted Kmail, and I was able to send one or two messages; but
for the third or four, Kmail hung again.

I tried to open the akonadi console to make some sense of what happened, but
sorry, it is beyond my level of expertise ;-). Thanks.
