As Allen Winter pointed out, you completely missed the point. It's not that
Skype is promoted; it's that Skype is promoted *to the exclusion of all open
source and free software solutions*. You know, like QuteCom (which can send SMS
and make calls), Ekiga, Empathy, Jitsi, ...
