KDE crashes on startup. Message:

Kmail has encountered a fatal error and will terminate now.
The error was:
Failed to fetch the resource collection

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Click on Kontact icon

Actual Results:  
Kontact starts and freezes with the attendant message.

Expected Results:  
Loaded Kontact and lived happily for ever after .. :)

This on a freshly installed and updated opensuse 12.1

Updated to 12.1 from 11.4 because Kmail was corrupted due to constant KDE
freezes.

Problem in 11.4 (KDE 4.5) was that Kmail had scrambled the outbox. Mail could
not be sent and remained in the outbox, losing the message text with all that
remained was the address header.
