How to get Akonadi IMAP debug logs:
http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/PIM/Akonadi/Debug_IMAP

In summary, from a console do:

> export KIMAP_LOGFILE=/tmp/imap.log
> akonadictl restart

then look through the list of /tmp/imap.log.PID files to find the error.
