Sorry, but meanwhile I have switched to thunderbird. 

The whole kmail/akonadi-stuff is in my point of view not really stable.
Recently my wife and daughter have switched from KDE 3.7.0 to 3.7.4 and akonadi
was not able to transfer the akonadi-data and all accounts have to be
reentered. So, they also switched to thunderbird which really works pretty
smooth and much faster syncing. I do not have had any problem at all!

Sorry, not the subject here, but it should be mentioned. May be I come back if
akonadi/kmail is really mature. 


Again, sorry, but I am really disappointed about kmail!
