Nepomuk facilitates quite a bit more than autocompletion (aka the semantic
desktop). In KDE we like that functionality and and integration, so we build on
tools for that - and use them.

An eksample of how you benefit from the address book is utilized through
nepomuk is entering a contact name in krunner (with the nepomuk plugin
enabled): Apart from the offer to mail or conntact that person, you also get a
list of mails to and from him, and documents or files related to him will show
up. Nepomuk could also be used to store relations between contacts, for example
familiy relations, in a very organized way. There are tons of possibilities.

Nepomuk also does not harm you, as long as it runs quietly in the background.
