I can confirm this for Fedora 16 running KDE 4.8.0/KNotes 4.8.0.

There definitely is something fishy going on. :) I can get the font to change
but only if I follow an exact procedure:

1. Check "Rich text".
2. Change font.
3. Click "Apply" (nothing seems to be happening)
4. Uncheck "Rich text"
3. Click "Apply" again (font changes for me)

This can be reproduced over and over again.
