I have the same problem as Alax Leach #c18, Piedro #c19, and Chrstiaan ter Veen
#c21. I'm using KDE 4.9.3 on Kubuntu 12.10.

The folder was created. It is available on the server. It is shown in other
clients. It is even shown in Akonadi Console Browser. However it is shown as
empty in Akonadi Console. But it is not shown in KMail and I get flooded with
the error message "Could not create collection <folder> resourceId: 5"
