Your bug report lacks some important information;

which exact version of Kmail is this about?
What are your email settings? Do you use POP or IMAP or dIMAP?

Please also give a step-by step instruction on how to reproduce your problem,
else the bug report is not useful to the developers.

Reinstalling is seldom a solution, it is not unlikely that your problem is a
configuration issue that might be solved in the forum:
