On kmail2 notification shows only number of new messages, so it is not useful
for see message body, and this feature requiest is active. As workaround we can
use http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php/plasmaMailChecker?content=140196
plasmoid, but much better will be see this in kmail2 core, like in thunderbird.
