Bug ID: 304919
Severity: major
Version: unspecified
Priority: NOR
Assignee: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
Summary: Folder unread message count incorrect, leads to crash
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
Reporter: brendan at hallwaysdc.com
Hardware: openSUSE RPMs
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Component: general
Product: akregator
Created attachment 73085

Screenshot showing symptoms of problem.
Using Akregator 4.7.2, "release 5" on an openSuSE system that reports the
following from a uname -a:
Linux gallifrey 3.1.10-1.16-desktop #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Jun 27 05:21:40 UTC 2012
(d016078) x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Folders report an incorrect number of unread messages, in some cases reporting
no unread messages in a folder when the feeds (correctly) show unread messages,
in others the number of messages in the folder is correct but the totals from
subfolders are incorrectly aggregated.
In many cases, continuing to use the application leads to a crash with a
segmentation fault. A restart of the application does sometimes clear the
problem, but it frequently reappears the first subsequent fetch.
Fairly reproducable. See attached screenshot for the symptoms.
