It's been pointed out to me that this behaviour can be changed by editing the
[Auto Allow] stanza in  ~/.kde4/share/config/kwalletrc, and I'd probably caused
kwallet to include "chromium" in that stanza some time ago.  So the paragraph
above was indeed irrelevant.

The main bug described remains.
