Unfortunately, you don't provide a full backtrace so I can't be 100% sure but
from the look of the part I have it seems to be a deployment issue (some of the
data serializer required at runtime aren't installed apparently).

So please check with openSUSE packagers if that still shows up, it might be
some outdated or broken version of kdepim-runtime.

BTW, I am myself an openSUSE user as well, and this issue doesn't seem to show
up anymore on openSUSE 11.4 with kdepim* 4.7 packages
