Session Management -> On Login is set to Start with an empty session, so should
be not an reason.

I see before I start Kmail the first time I see already several instances of 

akonadi_pop3_resource in the process list. 

By the way, its an upgraded system from KUbuntu 11.04 to 11.10. But I don't
like to start from scratch with Kmail and a deleted home directory, since Its
several accounts, folder and I don't want to create all of this again, ifnot
really needed.
