Also experiencing this on 4.7.2 (arch linux). I think this potentially plays a
role in bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=259949. Specifically, because
the akonadi resource for contacts is always read-only, I cannot set it as the
"standard" contact resource. Thus kmail can't autocomplete contacts either.
