I tried the patch but still doesn't work :-(

Basically what happens it that after I select an unread message and quickly
select another message, the first message's status stays unread for the time
specified in "Misc -> Mark selected message as read after", then it's marked as
read in any case.

What I expect is different: the message should be marked as read only if the
timeout indicated above elapses AND if the unread message is still selected.
