as you can reproduce the crash, try the following steps please:

gdb kmailcvt
type 'start'
type 'catch throw'
type 'cont'

then reproduce the crash (the kmailcvt window will become unresponsive)

in the terminal type 'thread apply all bt'

the backtrace will be more useful to track the issue
