correct,

ldd /usr/lib64/qt4/plugins/sqldrivers/libqsqlmysql.so |grep mysql

must return something valid.


and when using an external server, it has to be configured first (which akonadi
cannot do with this configuration)

when letting Akonadi start its own mysql instance, wait_timeout=31536000 is
used
