i had the same problem in gentoo after upgrading kde-4.7.2 to 4.7.3.
i've found that downgrading kde-base/kdepimlibs (and all packages, which hove
to be downgraded with it) fixes the problem. note, that i've downgrade
kdepim-runtime, kdepim-common-libs and kmail earlier and that didn't help
