Except for "but, especially when launched from a link or the tray, from the
current Activity / Desktop" I greatly support this. But I think a more broad
approach would be better:
First, Kmail should offer an option that'd say "consider current activity" and
then, depending on the current activity, kmail would use a different default
email address (or other kmail settings).
Second, I think activities shouldn't affect the desktop only (or additionally
kmail only) but just any other application. So, say, if I'm in the activity of
"leisure" and using a movie player, the screen saver should go off implicitly,
and power devil should keep from shutting etc.
So, I think this feature request shouldn't go to kmail but to plasma.
