A .cpp file usually contains c++ code (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C++).
Basically, if you have to ask, you likely don't (yet) have the skills to
compile the whole KDE PIM suite or even parts of it by yourself and should let
others who can handle it.
I know I will... ;-)
