I've been running in to this bug too, although it only started up recently.
This may just be a coincidence, but I first encountered the bug after I
upgraded google chrome to version 10.0.648.127, and (I believe) chrome started
using kwallet to store passwords (I know the option to do that existed for some
time, but I hadn't used it and I think that version enabled it by default --
although perhaps it was enabled earlier and I just didn't notice).
