I think this bug report aggregates too many points.

This is a bug that should be filed separately.

This works for me with KDE PIM 4.6.

I'm not sure whether the addressbook should always assume that you want to add
people to the list that you already have in your addressbook. And of course
there can be more than one foo. Anyway, this would be one issue.

This sounds like a feature request to me. You can enter the list's name in
kmail's composer to send an email to that list.

Works for me with KDEPIM 4.6.

So I suggest closing this report and opening new ones, one per issue/feature
request.
