Some additional info:

I started Akonadi using "akonadictl start" and got this message right when it
hanged on the terminal:

Error during adding a record to table "PimItemFlagRelation" "Duplicate entry
'1987-7' for key 'PRIMARY' QMYSQL3: Unable to execute statement"
