My Problem ts not the speed of fetching mail that does not work as before, but
the speed of typing a new mail while fetching mail automatically. This is where
words that I type appear some seconds later in the editor window. So in a sense
kmail2 freezes the UI to some degree while fetching new mail which is what the
OP said. The difference is really that he was talking about kmail1 and am
talking about kmail2.

Should I start a new Bugreport?
