Just tried kmail2 in openSuSE 11.4 with kde 4.6.5 from this repos:

http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Release:/46:/kdepim46/KDE_Release_46_openSUSE_11.4/

Experienced the same trouble. After sending an email a successful sending is
reported and after restarting kamil2 a day later or so, suddenly already sent
mails reappear in the local folder "outbox" but it seems that most of these
messages or even all actually have been sent the day before.
