No, there is no background activity for me, the search has already finished.
And an indexed search should run only a couple of seconds. At least, that is
how it worked back in KDE 4.6 already with KMail2: Searching took only a
fraction of a second and results appeared. Here I can wait for minutes and no
results turn up.
