Summary: No display update after moving a folder up one level
Product: KMail Mobile
Version: unspecified
Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
ReportedBy: sabine at kdab.net
Version: unspecified (using Devel)
OS: Linux
After moving a folder up one level the N900 still display the old folder
location even after 2 minutes. The user has to go back to its Imap Inbox
manually and only then she can see that moving the folder worked.
I think it would be a lot more efficient if the view was updated once the
folder has been moved (ex: automatically go to folder up one more level than
the one that was moved)
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Prerequisite: create a Folder A and 1 subfolder called Folder B (= Imap
inbox/Folder A/Folder B)
- Launch Kmail-mobile
- Click on your Imap inbox
- Click on Folder A
- Click on Folder B
- Open the 'Actions' tab
- Click on 'Edit'
- Click on 'Move Folder To...'
- A dialogue opens listing all the possible destination for the selected
subfolder
- Select 'Imap inbox'
- Click on 'Ok'
Actual Results:
Nothing happens even after 2 minutes.
The N900 still displays Folder B eventhough it has been moved up one level and
should now be a subfolder of the Imap Inbox
Expected Results:
The N900 should display the Imap inbox to show that Folder B has been properly
moved one level.
Note: Folder B has indeed been moved properly up one level but the user can
only realize it if she goes back manually to the Imap Inbox. And even then, it
does not help that it takes 30s (no sync required) before the change is
displayed in Folder view.
What is worse is that if the user does nothing the N900 still displays Folder B
so she can move it again if she does not realize that it in fact was moved
successfully already!
A pop up 'Error' dialogue appears saying 'Unknow error' if the user tried to
move twice the same folder to two different locations in a row.
