Please, is there any workaround for this bug while it is not fixed? Something
that can be disabled or changed to avoid the code path that is generating these
crashes?

It is driving me crazy. I'm experiencing more than 50 plasma-desktop crashes
every single day, all while using Kopete and/or Kontact. It is seriously,
negatively impacting my productivity, and I can't wait for an official patch or
updated release anymore.
