4.8beta2 was announced a few days ago, sources are here:

But I'd recommend to search for binary packages for your distribution, if you
never compiled KDE from source.

I don't know other distros, but openSUSE provides binaries:
http://en.opensuse.org/KDE_repositories#Unstable:SC_aka._KUSC_.28KDE_trunk.29
