I can confirm this bug with 

$ akonadiserver --version
Akonadi 1.6.0

$ kmail --version
Qt: 4.7.3
KDE Development Platform: 4.7.00 (4.7.0)
KMail: 4.7.0

I believe it may have something to do with using server side folder
subscriptions.
