Confirm that for button-buttons there is some feedback in version
4:4.5~20100921.1177779-1maemo1.1177763 (horizontally mirrored image of the
"unclicked" button).

Is it difficult to modify that image a bit (e.g. keep the shadow or make the
shadow fall inside the button or so)?

In general this version feels so much better, but I think there are some
elements left that do not give feedback. I'd like to figure out which ones,
will then open separate issue and close this one.
