I'm very glad to say , i've verified this patch recently , and also i'm
suffering from this problem , see the default timeout for 600 seconds , thus
even internet connection is down , kmail never knows before it thought it's
`timeout'.

It's very simple to check it , get offline and online again , kmail dies until
600 seconds later , and reconnects after , it's definitely a bug.
Should it be coded deadly here , what do you think ?
And everytime an action is triggered , we would check of availability of
connection.
( i'm not criticize kmail anyway ;-P )

Guy had just provided a better way of checking timeout , see detailed in patch
file , anyway , please confirm his work like what i've done if you thought it
helps too ;-)
