To cancel writing an email, the window switcher has to be employed.

I expect a Cancel/Discard functionality button, either (with confirmation)
somewhere nearby the Send button or in the Actions flap.

Observed in 4:4.5~20100903.1171170-1maemo1.1170522 and before.
