I would argue that the waste of time comes from the KDE4 version.  Then again,
I actually *use* the computer for heavy duty physics and engineering work.

Please, let's keep the KDE3/KDE4 argument out of this bug report.  Both have
their strong and weak points, and eventually the choice comes down to simple
user preference.  As a user of the KDE3 version, and the person doing the work,
I want to see that version completed first.  If that is not acceptable, then
you may want to find someone else who is willing to handle this RFE.
