N900 Version 20101015-1:

in the Email -> Settings the, "automatically request MDN" setting
was activated by default (after my upgrade).

It should be off, by default.
(I haven't checked, but it should be selectable per email in addition.
Also there should be the settings to ignore most MDNs or ask or send
automatically.)
