I retested this today and indeed touching within the line edit at its end works
fine to select the suggested email address.

Thx for the tip, Felix ;o)

Also I tested pressing enter to select the grey suggested email address and
that too worked fine so I am closing this bug.

Feel free to reopen if it does not work for you.
