I'm also missing this great functionality. The auto-expanding AND
auto-collapsing is an incredible feature (which now works well on the plasma
folder view applet) and I would really like to see it come back to K-Mail. 

IMO ordering folders is really an insignificant feature compared to auto
expanding. Besides, I'm pretty sure it should be easy to set up so that
auto-expanding only happens when you drag a message and not a folder, in which
case it wouldn't interfere with folder reordering.
