I'm more of an end user.  One thing I did look for is the config file for
kmail.  I couldn't find it.  My theory is that I simply pushed too many filter
buttons.  Clearing the filters and then starting over worked for me.  It's been
two days and Kontact is still sorting the mail as instructed.
