kubuntu lucid 64 - kde 4.4.1 - kmail with imap accounts

It seems kmail doesn't communicate with knetworkmanager.
When no connection is established, kmail (maybe other kde network applications)
doesn't report that no conenction is avaible. It could propose to us to switch
in offline mode. At this time kmail does/tell nothing.
