Summary: Link state of identical messages (like Gmail)
           Product: kmail
           Version: 1.12.4
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: rfc469 at gmail.com

Version: 1.12.4 (using KDE 4.3.5)
Compiler: gcc version 4.3.4
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

When I check my Gmail account I get duplicate messages. At least one duplicate
in All Mail and more if any of the messages are tagged. Ideally KMail would
have the ability to use a tagging system for Gmail accounts. But as a
short-term fix maybe the state of duplicate messages could be linked? So when
you read a message all the duplicates are marked as read, etc.

Closely related to that, it would be nice to be able to hide the new message
count for the [Gmail] folders.
