Currently, Kaddressbook gives no feedback when it's accessing LDAP servers. 
Adding a small throbber, spinner, progress bar, or equivalent would be
extremely useful.

I've been battling existing bug #223236 (LDAP over SSL) myself, and I never
know if Kaddressbook turned up no results, is still searching, or has ignored
me, after each change I make to the settings.
