--- Comment #2 from Aere <Aere Dvorak-Keyboards com> 2010-06-05 03:59:03 ---
Burkhard Lueck:

Here is the output you requested:

apt-cache policy kdepim-doc
kdepim-doc:
  Installed: (none)
  Candidate: 4:4.4.2-0ubuntu5
  Version table:
     4:4.4.2-0ubuntu5 0
        500 http://mirrors.xmission.com/ubuntu/ lucid/main Packages

I checked with KPackageKit, and found the component referenced above was not
installed. I installed it, and now I have online help for Kontact, so the
problem is successfully resolved - Thank you!

So my question is, why is it not installed automatically when kubuntu 10.04 is
installed from the CD? Or, if there isn't enough room, why is there not
something prompting the user to install an extra package?

Yesterday, I searched for any packages having to do with KDE and help (or
documentation), and installed them all, but it made no difference.

It appears my problem was that I didn't connect "PIM" with "KMail" or
"Kontact".

Best Regards,

Aere
