I second this wish!
I receive a lot of messages that are digitally signed either using S/MIME or
PGP. Each of these messages opens a separate Kleopatra window that needs to be
closed again (I'm using Outlook 2007 with Gpg4Win - GpgOL, Kleopatra, ...).
This is one of the major reasons why I currently cannot fully recommend
Gpg4Win/Kleopatra.
My recommendation to solve this issue:
1) Only show errors and signatures from untrusted keys in a separate window. I
reckon the average user doesn't want to be informed if everything is alright.
The only advantage I see is that currently a user does NOT get a message-box,
if an e-mail is NOT signed and might get suspicious that it might be a fake
e-mail.
2) Give feedback to GpgOL so that the plug-in can handle the results. My
favorite solution would be a colored bar displayed above the messages (just as
other email clients do it).
3) Maybe: Add some kind of auto-close function to the window, so that it will
close automatically after 10 seconds (I use a multi-display screen and the
kleopatra windows often pop up on the other screen so I won't even notice the
30+ windows ...)
