Confirming in KDE 4.4.2, Kontact 4.4.2, Kmail 1.13.2:

N.B.: 
In earlier versions of Kontact, Kmail was striping HTML messages line breaks
and it was noticeable on local 'sent items' copy.

In 4.4.2, local copy looks perfect but other clients (OE, OWA, Outlook,
Thunderbird) still don't show line breaks.
