Dario, I also do not use Akonadi under KDE 4.3.4 (I've checked and it's not
running) but have been trying KDE 4.4 and avoiding Akonadi seems not to be an
option. In 4.3.4, Kontact also doesn't crash for me after every second
ezecution - it's after *every* execution if I use Akregator. ;-)   Under 4.4
(RC2), Kontact crashes even when I don't use Akregator. 

I think I'll set up a new user session and see what happens with that. I've
always found Kontact to be been prone to problems in configuration and data
files.
