I can confirm this with all types of addressbooks I tested, the autocompletion
just shows the last used addresses. I can't even get a contact by using the
"choose"-button right to the address-field.

Have you solved this?

I'm using openSUSE 11.2 with KDE 4.4 RC2, but I have also seen this missing
behaviour on a Kubuntu-System. But at some Point while 4.4 beta this was
working, so I don't think this is becauso of the akonadi-porting.
