Kmail version is 1.12.4
When I start from the terminal and it crashes I get this output:

*** KMail got signal 11 (Crashing)
KCrash: Application 'kmail' crashing...
sock_file=/home/me/.kde/socket-erlkoenig/kdeinit4__0

(my user is "me" and "erlkoenig" is the computer name)
I'm running KDE 4.3.4 (kubuntu 9.10)

This only happens on my laptop, my PC has almost the same configuration but
everything works fine.

A difference between the two computers might be related to the Akonadi-package:
everytime I log into my PC I get a warning that not all components of the
Akonadi-server could be started... I'm not exactly sure what this mean... but
everything works fine from that onward... I do not get this warning on my
laptop.
