Summary: Kmail 2.0.89 forgets filter settings on boot.
Product: kmail
Version: SVN trunk (KDE 4)
Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: filtering
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
ReportedBy: volkerarmin at googlemail.com
Version: SVN trunk (KDE 4) (using KDE 4.5.85)
OS: Linux
I updated to 4.6beta2 from 4.5.4. I have lots of filters set to sort incoming
mail into different directories.
After every boot the filters stop working: Opening the filter dialog this
greets me in the filter action area:
Unknown folder '.sonstige.directory/alternate'
I set it manually to read Kmail Folder sonstiges/alternate and everything works
- until the next boot.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Have a working 4.5.4 installation. Have kmail configured with douzends of
filters and many thousands of emails.
Upgrade to 4.6beta2
fight with akonadi.
See this weired behaviour on every single boot.
Actual Results:
Unknown folder '.sonstige.directory/alternate'
Expected Results:
KMail Folders/sonstige/alternate
Also kmail is f* slow when hitting any directory with 1000+ emails. Taking ages
to list all mails. Even worse, akonadi gobbles up ram as mad.
Is there a way to get rid of it?
